Music

Today, I opened up my iTunes playlist, and pressed play. This lead me to searching for more songs because I realized that I've grown tired of my playlist. I grow tired of songs really fast because I listen to them WAY too much, to the point where I'll be over it. It's a bad habit that I have no idea how to combat. Do you guys have this problem? If so and you found out how to beat it, please help me!

Here's an awesome song by The Hush Sound.

  1. Oh, I have this problem all the time. I listened to that Persona 4 battle theme non-stop at one point. To stop listening to a song I really like...I'd just do something else. Some quiet hobby that doesn't involve listening to anything. It's all about moderation!

  5. I have the opposite problem. I get too lazy to find new music and I hate listening to the radio so I never know what is new. Pandora or lastfm is a great suggestion. When I tried to get out of my rut I used it and it helped.

  6. Yeah it doesn't happen anymore. I just met lots of people with lots of different music tastes and always have them recommend something!

  7. That happens to be a lot. I usually just put my iPod on random to get over it.

  9. I'm the same way, I'll listen to a song so many times I never want to hear it again.

  10. Yeah, I do that too, it sucks 'cause it ruins some of the most awesome songs.

  18. Dude I have the same problem. When I was in college I used to be able to sit down and listen to the whole record. Now I just play one song.. and move on to the next flavor of the week.

  21. I do that as well, listen to a great song way too much and ruin it for myself.

  22. Actually, i just check out music blogspots. They usually have the best selection of underground/indie labeled bands. And, they have blogs for all sorts of genres, and some to every genre. Haha.

  23. Sounds good but I don't trust bands with female lead singers. They always break your heart.
    No Doubt
    The Cranberries
    Garbage
    En Vogue
    Destiny's Child
    Fleetwood Mac
    etc.
    etc.

  25. I've had the same playlist since I was 16. The strokes and metric.

  26. Same happens here, it makes me afraid to listen to a song too many times.

  27. I've been looking for some new music recently as well, so I checked out the top 100 best selling albums of all time and downloaded some of those.

  29. The guy who mentioned pandora: yes! I am listening to it right now. I love pandora. It lets you find music you thought you weren't interested in and discover new bands. All without effort or research, it just does it for you.
