Today, I was browsing on WCReplays and stumbled on this interesting post about Sportsmanship. Basically, it talked about how you're going to be a lot more successful when you have better sportsmanship. While this is a little too fluffy for reality, it has got me thinking. Why do people have to demean others to make themselves feel better when they have obviously gotten outplay? Why do they do this so much that they push their friends away?
I'm sure most of us have had friends who have had this problem before, whether they are on the FAR end or not. I have had a friend who had one of the most extreme cases of poor sportsmanship. He basically yelled his lungs out and ignored every criticism that was given to him. He always blamed anyone else but himself. He did this so often that I eventually grew tired of him and never spoke to him again. It just sucks to listen to people like that. Anyways, tell me you guys have met anyone who had extremely poor sportsmanship? Or do you guys have that problem? I'll leave you guys with a video of my all time favorite Starcraft player, Firebathero. His sportsmanship is terrible, but well justified!
words can't express how confused i am by this video.. but yeah, i tend to just remove myself from poor sportsmanship situations. actually i remove myself from all sports related situations/

ReplyDeleteSportsmanship is key, man. Everyone occasionally thinks to themselves or tells their team "Hell ya I just made an awesome shot/hit/or whatever", but to excess is just absurd. It isn't as much fun for everyone...such douches..
ReplyDelete......... what did i just watch :C

Poor sports are either really really good at playing mind games or they're jerks destined for a miserable lonely life. I hope I'm the former haha

ReplyDeleteHow to Hack Life.
When I'm at home gaming online i fucking RAAAAAGE. I thought I was just a psycho, then I saw the video of Ice T playing online while completely ignoring his smoking hot wife, Coco. Although I'd probably take a time out from gameplay to have relations with Coco, the video made me realize that I wasn't some crazy nut, I'm just a guy like everyone else. No matter how rich we get, or what path our lives take, we are all just dudes. Keep your game face on in public, but in the comfort of your own home, don't be embarrassed to let some steam off.
